A desire to be the change

Rather than point out what’s wrong, we’re intent on setting things right.

Shanti Sparsh was born when a group of childhood friends decided to take action.

In 2014, a group of friends who all hailed from Shanthinagar, Thuruvananthapuram, came together for one of their reunions.

Although each of them was successful in their own right, the growing gulf between the haves and the have-nots, was something that weighed heavily on their minds.

Realising that talking about it accomplishes little, a decision was made to form an organisation that would be the candle that spread the light of love, caring and support amongst those who needed it the most.

Shanthi Sparsh Charitable Trust was registered in Bangalore, India, on March 4, 2015, with the dream of giving back to society at least a fraction of the many blessings that we, the more fortunate, take for granted.

An idea that took root when a group of friends decided to effect social change, has grown both from the encouragement of the needy and with the managing trustees expanding the scope and seeking the involvement of other like-minded people.
